An accelerated BSN program allows qualified students who already have a Bachelor’s degree to earn a Bachelor of Science Degree in Nursing within a 12 month time period. The accelerated BSN program is intense and requires a heavy credit load and intense clinical experiences. Qualified applicants can earn a BSN degree in 1 year with accelerated 5 week courses the program consists of 64 credits of nursing courses, taken in an accelerated program over 14 months. Today, 168 accelerated BSN programs are operating.

• Grand Canyon University
• St. Joseph’s College of Maine
• University of Saint Mary
Accelerated BSN Online programs can graduate students with a BSN degree in four semesters and more than 46 new accelerated BSN programs are still being created (AACN). Theory courses are offered online at a rate of one credit per week.
